Well, folks it's been just under one week. I haven't touched a sip of soda, (despite my parents efforts to thwart my goals by leaving an ENTIRE CASE of Dr. Pepper on my table) and I've worked out every other day, totalling three times since New Year's Eve. The first day of working out I thought I was going to die and the next day I was soooo sore. Now I am able to do almost the whole work out and am not sore at all. I still can't do push ups, Jillian yells at me not to "phone it in" and tells me "you can't take a break during a 20 minute workout and expect to get results!" I'm not sure how she knows, it's kind of creepy. Anyway, I'm thinking of moving up with to level two. On a side note, does anyone have handweights they aren't using that I could borrow? I've moved up from canned tomato soup to glass jars of tomato sauce. The glass jars are a little slippery and cumbersome and I keep eating the tomato soup.
So has it worked? I weighed myself this morning and was down to 150lbs! 5lbs down 25lbs to go! I did weigh myself a little later in the day the first time so it may be a little off but I've definitely still lost some weight. Yay!
Off to sweat!

Congratulations! (Sorry about the soda. It wasn't me, I swear!) I think I have weights that are 1,3, and 5 lbs. I'll check and let you know.
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI on the weights - I started with cans, too and then moved to 3 lb. weights when I went to level 2 and OH MY GOSH. Granted, I'm not lifting kids all day like you so you might be starting in a better place than I was. But the 3 pounders were not easy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the losing 5 lbs already! Hopefully you'll be able to read my blog later today for my resolutions...I've been working on it for like 3 days and haven't finished the post. Maybe I should've made that a resolution.
5lbs!?! Makes me wish I drank soda so I could give it up and lose some weight.. I have 5lb hand weights that Gabbi and Micah lift more often then I do. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteKudos on the workouts. I've yet to get up in time to workout out this week. In fact, today I slept right through my alarm. I think my body knows what I've planned for it, and it's fighting me.
ReplyDeleteDitching the soda is a tough one for me also; I've at least resolved to only drink caffiene free sodas, which I'm hoping will help curb my addiction. Right now in the Reach fridge there are about 1,000,000 cans of soda calling my name. I feel like Odysseus against the sirens...
